Weaving Twills
Twills
are perhaps the most versatile of all weave structures and provide countless
design opportunities. Not only are there, what may seem to be, endless
variations in threading, tie-up and treadling orders, add to that the variations
in sett and fiber weight, color and texture and you add yet another
dimension. It has been said that twills begin, but they never end.
This class will explore some of the threading, tie-up and treadling
possibilities.
Students will warp a loom and weave either a twill sampler or project of their
choice. This class is designed for the beginning weaver who is comfortable
warping a loom and the intermediate weaver.
